MHP Salud’s Rachel Udow joined the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) this week for a high profile conversation with the national media about how this month’s Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace rollout has affected the Latino community.
NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguía introduced the telephonic press conference, in which Udow joined representatives from NCLR and the Vasquez Health Center of California in sharing experiences about the early days of the health insurance exchanges.
MHP Salud was asked to weigh in as one of eight organizations in Texas that received federal funding to provide on the ground Navigator support for accessing the state’s Health Insurance Marketplace.
“It was a privilege to participate in the press conference and inform the press about our successes, challenges and lessons learned in rolling out the Navigator Program,” said Udow.
