Supervision of Promotor(a) de Salud Programs

Please join MHP Salud for an overview of its updated resources to assist health centers in improving the implementation of new and existing Promotor(a) de Salud/Community Health Worker programs.

Objectives of Supervision for Promotores(as) de Salud:

  • Participants will understand a supervisor’s role in supporting Promotores(as)
  • Participants will identify the components of a successful training program
  • Participants will learn at least one new strategy regarding supporting Promotores(as)

Speaker Bio:

Anne Lee, Program Director, has had extensive experience in the area of community development. Before joining MHP Salud in October 2010, she worked in Nicaragua for six years with international development organizations that supported community-based initiatives to reduce health disparities and build community capacity. She has experience facilitating rural and urban development projects, collaborating with community leadership and evaluating project performance. Currently, she works with MHP Salud’s Capacity-Building Assistance Team, offering technical assistance to health centers to start or strengthen Community Health Worker (or Promotor(a) de Salud) programs. Additionally, she has experience coordinating and supervising direct service Promotor(a) de Saludprograms and community outreach activities in Michigan, Ohio and Texas. Ms. Lee is fluent in Spanish and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
