MHP Salud, a national non-profit agency conducting health education and outreach in underserved Latino communities, is currently seeking a motivated, energetic, organized, and focused Community Health Worker  to serve Cameron County. Multiple full-time positions available, up to 40 hours a week.  Responsibilities may include but not limited to outreach to Colonia residents, data entry, making referrals to other community agencies, lead group education sessions which include parents and caregivers of children from 8 to 13, promote and monitor physical activities, work with schools, community organizations and form partnerships for providing services to residents of the community.  Applicants who can read, write, and speak Spanish and English are strongly preferred; fluency in spoken Spanish is required. Applicants must also be computer literate and have two years’ applicable work experience.  Experience working with the community with Colonia residents are highly preferred.  Salary range depending on experience (Grade 2 – 4).
