Chief Officer of Programs, Integration, and Planning (CPIP)

MHP Salud, a national bicultural and bilingual non-profit agency that implements Community Health Worker programs, is currently seeking a Chief Officer of Programs, Integration, and Planning (CPIP). This position is responsible for all community programs operated by the agency across the country. The full job description can be found here.  In consultation with a multi-level management staff across several sites, this position ensures that program goals are met, funder requirements are accomplished, and appropriate outcomes are achieved.  In addition to the management of existing programs, the CPIP plans and designs appropriate future programming opportunities and integrates them into the structure as they are funded and prioritized. This position requires significant interaction with outside parties including local and state officials, funders and potential funders, other community-based organizations, the private sector and other partners, as well as internal coordination with program directors and coordinators, senior management, evaluation leads and Community Health Workers. It requires travel both nationally, regionally, and statewide for conferences, site visits, Leadership meetings, etc. depending on organizational needs. These duties will require the individual to be fluent in both English and Spanish. All functions and activities are performed within the guidelines and philosophy set forth in MHP Salud’s Strategic Plan, policies, mission, goals and vision. Essential Functions of the position include Leadership and Management (25%); Program Planning and Management (40%); Evaluation and Data (20%) and Grants and Development (15%).

Successful applicant will have a Master’s in Public Health, at least five years of progressive responsibility as a supervisor/manager; at least five years of experience managing multiple programs from various funding streams; and be able to read, write, and speak both Spanish and English with fluency.

Position will be based out of MHP Salud’s Florida, Texas or Michigan offices.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000, DOQ with an expected start date no later than November 1, 2017.

 Job Interview Timeline:

  • Open advertising Aug 8
  • Close Aug 30 end of day (5 pm ET)
  • Review and choose virtual interview candidates by Aug 31
  • Virtual Interviews of 30-45 minutes with Interview Committee via video chat evening Sept 5 and 6
  • Virtual Interview Exercise: This exercise allows candidates to see and perform tasks they will be requested to perform in the position and allows both parties to determine if the fit is right. For those choosing/chosen to continue, both parties can also better formulate questions for later in the interview process. Issued Sept 6 for return by the 11th EOD
  • Final Candidates chosen by Interview Committee no later than Sept 12
  • Interviews Sept 19 and 20 in Weslaco, Texas. Candidates should expect a day long interview process. Travel costs paid by organization.
