What Is Included in Community Needs & Resources Assessment?
Community Health Workers can play an important role in every stage of designing and implementing a Community Needs & Resources Assessment. Participants will gain practical understanding by practicing focus group facilitation and community asset mapping. The objectives for this session are to:
- Define the process of a community needs and resources assessment
- Identify the different roles CHWs can play in a community needs and resources assessment
- Understand how to lead a focus group discussion on community needs
- Demonstrate community asset mapping skills
