What Is Included in The Impact of Culture on Health?
As communities grow, culture is one of the key components that is ever changing. Clinicians and other professions who work alongside Community Health Workers will benefit from this innovative Impact of Culture on Health session that teaches the concepts of culture, continuous learning and developing a plan to challenge biases. The objectives of this session are to:
- Define culture and why it matters in health education
- Examine one’s own cultural “lenses” of filters through which we view the world
- Describe and demonstrate how cultural beliefs impact health and wellness
- Develop a plan to better incorporate your community and culture in your work and your institution

This training session lasts 4 hours. A virtual training costs $889 and an on-site training is $2,539* including all travel costs.
