What Is Included in Community Health Workers Educating in the Community?

The Community Health Workers Educating in the Community session will provide team members working with Community Health Workers a foundation of understanding how Community Health Workers provide effective client education in ways that may be different from other related professions. During the session, several interactive adult education techniques often used by Community Health Workers will be highlighted. The objectives of this session are to:

  • Identify the differences between adult and child learning
  • Understand why different learning styles matter in health education
  • Describe the types and benefits of the popular education techniques used by Community Health Workers
  • Identify key tools in the Community Health Worker Toolbox to maximize education techniques

This training session lasts 2 hours and can be provided as a live, fully interactive virtual training for $639 or on-site at the location of your choice for $2,459* including all travel costs.

This session can be completed individually or as a full Foundations Level training. If you would like to mix and match sessions to create your own training package, please contact us for additional information.

*Includes all travel costs for a training location within the continental United States. Note: travel costs will be prorated if multiple on-site training sessions are purchased for the same location and time period.
