What Is Included in Educating in the Community?
Educating in the Community: Popular Education, Peer Education, Adult Education, and Community Education provides supervisors of Community Health Workers an understanding of adult education techniques commonly used by Community Health Workers and why these techniques are important to the goals of programs and organizations. Participating in this session will help supervisors support their Community Health Workers ineffectively educating their communities on a variety of health topics. The objectives for this session are to:
- Identify the differences between adult and child learning
- Understand why different learning styles matter in health education
- Describe the types and benefits of the popular education techniques used by Community Health Workers
- Identify key tools in the Community Health Worker Toolbox to maximize these popular/adult/peer education techniques
This training session lasts 4 hours and can be provided as a live, fully interactive virtual training for $889 or on-site at the location of your choice $2,709* including all travel costs.
