MHP Salud is excited to announce our Community Health Worker training curriculum, L.E.A.D. (Listen, Empower, Advance, Deliver).  As our CHWs faced a gap in their own career development opportunities, we brought our 35 years of firsthand experience to the design of a curriculum to address this need. Through this breadth of experience, we have gained a deep understanding of the CHW’s unique role within organizations and across broad integrated community health strategies. We have taken this understanding to address what organizations need most: accessible & affordable education that considers the Community Health Worker model from multiple perspectives. From CHWs, to CHW supervisors & managers, and other professions working with CHWs, this approach educates and empowers the entire team and ultimately sets organizations up for more effective Community Health Worker programs.

L.E.A.D.  has been designed to align with the standards of the C3 Project Core Competencies and is structured to engage organizations from their perspective by allowing flexibility in the topics chosen. We provide foundational instruction and continuing education for CHWs across their career span with relevant topics that reflect current priorities in the evolving healthcare landscape. Through our simple online pre-assessment process, we “meet participants where they are,” ensuring the information we provide is neither too foundational nor too advanced.

We are excited to offer L.E.A.D. through live interactive video in real time, or on-site with the hosting organization. Our training is delivered by experts with real world experience in the subject matter and focuses on small group interaction that is engaging and specifically relevant to the work of individual participants. L.E.A.D. can be delivered back to back or spread over a longer period of time based on organizational needs and priorities.
