Webinar: Implementing a Community Health Worker Program
The primary role of a Community Health Worker (referred to as Promotoras in Spanish-speaking communities) is to link vulnerable populations to health care or social systems. They have a unique connection to the populations they serve because they often live in the same community and speak the same language. This connection to the culture makes them particularly effective in this role.
This webinar provides an overview of MHP Salud’s updated resources to assist health centers in improving the implementation of new and existing Promotora programs.
During this presentation, participants will :
- Understand the Promotora program cycle
- Identify critical steps in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a program
- Learn at least one new strategy for implementing a successful Promotora program
